HSC Garden.

Inspired in collaboration with the Billion Oyster project, The HSC Garden (Horseshoe Crab Garden) serves as a modular floating garden and oyster cages housing system to be implemented along the Hudson river to foster healthier and easier juvenile oyster growth and tracking.

  • To create a modular system to encourage the growth and tracking of juvenile oysters while serving a educational addition to the outreach program within he Billion Oyster Project

  • Had to be easily implemented by 1-2 people.

  • Material exploration and understanding followed by sketching and ideation as the material helped inform the shape. Prototyping and paper model making at full scale. CNC mold, pouring concrete, final touches and placing native plants, all the while obtaining cages already used by BoP
